More Information

A bit tight     On: 2010-07-27

This is my second pair of Zoomers I have bought in my lifetime. The first pair started to rip at the front so it is good to see that they redesigned them to be thicker at the front. The same size I had before are a bit small on the new ones. I might have bought the next size up for more ease of slipping them on in the water. Other than that they really help me swim faster and longer.
they work, but hurt the feet     On: 2010-07-19

These fins work well, but the hard rubber is painful over the top of the toes. Lord help you if you get sand in them. I switched to Speedo Biofuse Fins and sold these on Craigs List for 15 bucks.
Does the trick, but...     On: 2010-07-05

Been using these for about a month (15 x 30 min) and they work just fine. I find them a bit stiff and clunky compared to a different brand I used in the past (wish I knew the name!), but theyre smooth and make the workout more effective.
great for exercise     On: 2010-06-25

I use these fins in my swiming when I am just using the kickboard. They provide a great level of resistance. They do not move you as fast as scuba fins, but then they are not supposed to. They give a great workout to your legs when you are just using you legs to swim. When used to do the freesyle swiming, they increase your speed significantly. They are great workout and strength building tool.
Zoomers     On: 2010-05-19

The Zoomers are great! I am an adult learner, taking swimming lessons. Zoomers were recommended to me by my swim instructor. They really make a big difference in my training!
Ouch! That hurt!     On: 2010-05-13

I was excited to get my new Zoomers and get in the water with them! The first time using them, I noticed they made my legs work extra hard, much more difficult than my normal fins. I had incredible blisters that took 2 weeks to heal. I didnt give up though, I bought the "skin socks" to rid myself of blisters but found the Zoomers to be very rigid and hard. Needless to say, I didnt zoom very fast and the kicking was hard on my joints. I sent them back and will stick with my original fins.
great for easy exercise     On: 2010-05-05

After seeing a number of people at the pool gym uset hese fins, I became very curious and purchased them.

Ive been doing stationary exercizes in the pool for over a year, but am generally not a good or interested swimmer (although I wished I was, since the health benefits are so great).

I was very pleased and surprised when I discovered that by using these fins, I can now happily and comfortably swim in the pool for 30 minutes at a time...Yes, with my very 1st use of these fins I immediately added 30 minutes to my pool workout, so yippee! I swim on my back using a swim belt and these fins and become an instant mermaid, toning my legs and getting a good cardio workout, so I highly recommend purchasing if you are interested in them.

Of note, the reviews I read frequently stated that people can get blisters using them. Curiously, the 1st time I used the fins I didnt get any, but the 2nd time I did. The 3rd time I didnt and wondered why, so I examined the fins more closely and think I determined that the fins could be footed (left footed and righ footed)...No-one in these reviews has stated this and the company website doesnt either, but to me one side of the fin seems harder than the other (the outside is harder and less bendy than the inside, similar to a regular shoe), and by putting a specific fin on my right or left foot, I havent had a blister since...Ive made a useful physical mark on my fins to help me keep track of which I should wear on my right or left foot, since I cant tell just based on appearance.

Also, yes, the fins can pinch for a split second when you first put them on, but by putting them on in the pool as opposed to with dry feet, its barely noticable to me.

I hope these two pointers help. Im having alot of fun with them and am happy to reap the benefits of improved and sustained pool exercise.
Neat swim fins     On: 2010-04-30

I have scuba fins but they are too bulky for swimming in the pool. These are great and I ordered my regular size, even after reading the reviews that said they ran small, and no problem with the fit, feel fine. Im breaking them in slowly and so far no blisters either like many reviewers reported. Im happy with them and feel like Im getting a better workout when I swim my laps.
Female Intermediate Swimmer     On: 2010-04-29

The blue Zoomers did not work well for me. The big difficulty was fit -- they are very wide. My foot tends towards slender -- I usually wear a 9B shoe with an inserted insole. The correspondingly-sized Zoomer rattled around on my foot, raising blisters and bruises. Adding a scuba footie helped some, but I still got bruises. Ive gone back to my trusty but clunky-looking Zip Fins. I think the Zoomers might work well for a wider foot.
FINIS Fins     On: 2010-03-10

Wow, these are great as training fins! I get rubs on my 2nd toes and the tops of my feet, but as I use them more, those spots dont get as irritated. I had ACL surgery last year and am using these to strengthen back up my legs and knees...I highly recommend getting these fins.
For new and experienced swimmers     On: 2010-03-04

Compact fins, accurate sizing. I read a book on swimming that recommended these. I have not been disappointed. They are definately worth the investment.
Finis Zoomer Fins--Blue     On: 2010-03-04

I was concerned about fit but I ordered the fin size that corresponded exactly to my street shoe size and they fit perfectly...tight enough to stay on but loose enough to avoid the fooot blister/break-in problem others have commented on. I am a very fit but very sloppy swimmer-in-training, and my coach recommended these...they work great in keeping my speed up enough for technique drills, but keeps me from doing the "hyper-big kick" I get with conventional fins. Highly recommended!
Great for Beginners like myself     On: 2010-03-03

I am 33 years old and just started learning how to swim(better late than never). I have great upper body strength but a very weak kick, these Fins have been great in helping me develop my leg muscles and also a more efficient kick. I use them in the pool mostly and it has been excellent so far. Like others have commented, definitely get one size bigger than what they advertise. Based on my shoe size the chart said I should get an F, but I opted for the G and it fits perfectly. The F would have been a very tight fit. I had about 2wks where I got blisters on my toes but those have stopped as my feet have gotten use to them and the rubber is not as new. I hope they last a very long time, I really enjoy swimming as a form of exercise.
Works like a charm     On: 2010-02-14

These fins add just the right amount of additional propulsion to make swimming a joy instead of a chore. Theyre excellent for practice drills too.
Zoom zoomers!     On: 2010-01-21

Love them, they fit perfectly, and boy can I zoom through the water. WOO HOO!
They will tear your toes to pieces if they are too large!     On: 2009-12-19

I tried some of these that were left at the pool (size e)and they felt a bit tight but otherwise worked great! I decided to buy a pair of my own. My size is 8 1/2 which is on the line between E & F. After reading they fit small, I went for the larger size F. Well the opening above the toes has a sharp edge to it and with the extra movement allowed by the larger size in addition to my toes only sticking out part of the way, after one use my toes have been bandaged for a week! Im going to reorder the smaller size.
Excellent     On: 2009-11-19

Perfect for lap swimming, these fins are shorter than regular diving fins. This makes it possible to do turns in them and they are easier to carry around in the swim bag. They pinch a little on the top of the foot, but I have not had problems with blisters wearing these fins. I swim 3/4 mile 6 days a week and these fins are a great addition to my workout.
Wow! What a workout.     On: 2009-09-07

Wow! I ordered these in July but just got a chance to use them. I got the blue ones and that was the right choice. Great workout and FAST, FAST, FAST. I took the advice of earlier reviews and went up instead of down on the size. I wear a 9 or 9 1/2 womens shoe so could have gone either way. That was good advice. No rubbing or hurting but not too loose either. I also bought swim gloves at the same time and the fins combined with the gloves have increased my workout effectiveness significantly. Great product.
Know What You Are Buying     On: 2009-09-01

My Zoomers are great. I thought they would be good for kayak rescues because of there small size but read up on them to find out they are a training aid, not intended primarly for swimming. I got them anyway and they do a great job of stretching out your ankles in a short amount of time. Ive used them in a lake, a river, an indoor pool and two outdoor pools with different results in each. Im very glad I got them but NOT for swimming.
Finis Zoomers     On: 2009-08-27

This is actually my third pair, they last about 5 years. Great for Lap swimming.
Designed for competitive swimmers     On: 2009-07-04

These fins are a great product. I still have a pair that I bought 20 yrs ago (they started to show signs of wear/age last year). They are tight - at first you will get blisters. They are really designed for competitive swimmers to enhance a workout and make it more worthwhile to kick hard. They are great for kick-board workouts and interval training. They are not snorkel fins, although I enjoy using them that way - it is easier in shallow water to avoid injury to the reef with small fins, but you work much harder than with large snorkel fins. They are also too small to use for body boarding in heavy surf. Make sure you are getting them for the right reason and use.
Great Fins     On: 2009-06-24

I love these fins....if you swim a mile in these you may get a little blister on the tops of your toes, but its great when you alternate using them and not using them when doing laps.
Red Zoomer fins     On: 2009-06-12

These training fins work great for lap swimming! They give your lower body more of a workout. Just dont overdo it until you get used to wearing them, as you might develope a couple of blisters on your toes/heels if you do.
Red Zoomers fins - a little big, but good for improving kicking     On: 2009-03-24

I found that the stated size (F) was a bit big for my feet (9B), but I have pretty narrow feet, so that is undoubtedly part of the issue.
That aside, I really like these fins, because they allow me to work on the back part of my kick, and make me concentrate on keeping my toes in an effective pointed position.
These run small, order one size up from your shoes     On: 2008-12-11

I ordered blue fins, size D. I wear size 7, Size D was rated up to size 8 for women so I figured they would ok for me.
I could pull them on with effort, but in the water I was in a lot of pain all over (toes, top of the foot, back of the foot) since the fin + water put additional pressure. I had to return and get the next size E and they are comfortable. They are in no danger of falling off, it takes effort to pull them off by hand.

The exchange was flawless (swim2000 was great), but of course it cost me extra to pay return shipping which was over $6.
Greatly Improved My Swimming     On: 2008-11-12

I have been using the blue Finis Zoomer for three months, and found that they have greatly improved my swimming. Within a couple of weeks, I doubled my number of laps because I am using more leg power for propulsion, which is where most of the muscle is. Therefore, I am getting a more balanced work out with these fins.
Ummmmph in the water...     On: 2008-09-15

Just enough ummmmph when you need it. Very good fit. Nice when you dont want full fins, but still need some propulsion to raise confidence and get keep you going. Good size. Good quality. Great shipping time.
great workout fins!     On: 2008-08-19

i bought these fins to help me get in shape and back into swimming. i absolutly love them and will always own a pair from now on. the short fin is great for targeting certain muscles and im really seeing a change in my legs.
Zoomers---Not So Much!     On: 2008-06-09

These fins are very short from your big toe to the end of the flipper and even though I ordered a size larger they are still too small. My kids were disappointed and hardly ever wear them. I would skip these if it were me.
snorkle fins     On: 2008-01-08

I wear a 13 wide, my 11.5 to 13 Zoomers were a tight fit but I could get them on, follow the advice and use beeswax / commercial namesnowseal [found in shoe dept.] for much improved experience
Used them for snorkling and they worked well, much better than bare feet Its a different experience from diving fins [longer slower leg pump], closer to normal swiming with much added thrust [shorter normal leg flutter kick] note they sink like a rock in water
I would recommend them and buy them again
Sizes Run Small, Fin too Short for Speed     On: 2007-12-25

ZOOMERS

The size that was suppposed to fit on me was hard to put on and somewhat tight. (I do have a Wide foot). But I think the manufacturer should recommend buying a size larger than indicated for each foot size. Also, they didnt help my speed. Its like wearing rubber shoes with a wide front sole while swimming. The fins are shorter than the pictures indicate.
zoomers     On: 2007-12-11

Great price and best of all didnt rip you off with the "postage and handling" fees so many places charge and pretend that it has to do with the mailing rates.
Fins are great!     On: 2007-11-24

These fins are great.
Theyre comfortable, leave no marks on my feet or ankles. The first time I put them on I zoomed down the lane of the pool. I was like superman in water. I know the purpose is more as an exercise tool. So I take them off ... Legs definitely get a workout with the fins.
Anyway, if youre looking for a good pair, these are them, and the blue fins are for novices.

Zoomers     On: 2007-10-23

I LOVE my new zoomers. Wish I had gotten them long ago. They really help me get so much more from my swimming workout, plus I am saving from 5-10 minutes on my total workout. They are so much more efficient than the old full-sized flippers, and easier to "cart" around. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering buying them.
Works Well     On: 2007-09-11

I am a beginning swimmer and these have worked really well for me. My only problem is that they have rubbed my feet raw in a couple of small spots on the inside of my foot. But I think this can be expected from any new fin when breaking in.
Zoomers are perfect!     On: 2007-07-04

For those of us who have trouble staying on top of the water when we swim, these are excellent! My kick is woefully inept and Ive got very little bodyfat, so after a lap or so, the bottom half of my body begins to sink. The Zoomers are just what I need to give me enough leg kick to keep going. Theyre shorter than the usual fins, so they make sure you dont get lazy with your kick and theyre small enough to pack easily.
If looking for small fins, these are the best...     On: 2007-06-07

...trust me, or get whatever lesser you get (often gimmick, think Ive bought em all!). Their use is not limited to the pool...great for ocean swimming, snorkeling and even light-current scuba, especially on travel. :-)
Fins are great!     On: 2007-02-11

I swim a lot in a Masters program and train for triathlon swims. Ive tried different training fins but I really like Zoomers. I think theyve really made a difference in my swim form and they provide a better workout for leg muscles than swimming without fins.
Great Leg Workout!     On: 2007-01-12

I bought my Zoomers on a recommendation from a friend. I am not disappointed! I can swim longer and I get much more out of my workout. I would highly recommend this product.
zoomers     On: 2007-01-09

I use them in kick sets for Masters swim workouts as they increase leg strength. My last pair lasted about 15 years, and I expect these to do as well. They are compact and ease to transport if necessary.
Zoomer Fins for swimming     On: 2007-01-09

The product arrived as promised for an absolutely awesome price through Swim 2000. The product lived up to my expectations. The fit was good and they make swimming more fun and are great for getting more exercise for the legs. Highly recommend this product for casual swimmers.
Good for my weak kick     On: 2007-01-03

I purchased Zoomers in September 06. I have been using them for 4 months now. I have found that I am able to have a more sustained workout and swim more laps.

The Zoomers did exactly what I hoped that they would for me. The only warning is that the fins can make a blister where they rub on the tops of my feet. I didnt see this too much, but I know others who have.

The merchant delivered the product within 4 days from NV to IN, so I was also pleased with the purchase experience.
good experience getting products from this source     On: 2006-11-15

It was a good experienece. The product arrive with no delay and in perfect shape
Zoomers     On: 2006-11-05

After a few address problems on my part I got the Zoomers. They were exactly as described.
