Perfect Beginner Board rating

This board is made of wood, so it obviously isn't meant for deep water. However, this was my first skimboard to ever purchase, and it prepared me very well for the transition from the sand to the waves. I recommend this board for somebody who is just starting out and who will be staying on the shore, because this board will not float over the deeper water. It's a perfect starter board.
